One Saturday evening in March 2007, Frank was going home after his golf game. Just as he was about to reach the entrance of his housing estate he stopped at the traffic light at the junction. The car he was driving was a new Mercedes C 200, bought two years ago to reward himself, something to enjoy during his retirement.

The next thing he knew was hearing the sound of crashing metal and being jolted to the side. A green Wira was trying to beat the light and had hit the front right of his car! His precious car was dented badly in the front right wheel arch, the front bumper was ripped out and the right front lamps were broken. It was very upsetting.

After exchanging particulars with the other driver, he made his way home. Next he called the MSIG Call Centre who were very helpful and offered him advice on the steps to follow. The usual police report was made later in the evening after his dinner. The next morning, Frank sent his car to the MSIG recommended workshop.

From that moment on, the MSIG workshop and the Claims personnels did everything for him. The Claim form was completed at the workshop and copies of the relevant documents were taken. Within the same day of dropping the car off, he received a SMS from MSIG informing him that the loss adjuster was assigned and was left with the contact person from MSIG handling his claim. Within a week Frank collected his car.

It was an unpleasant experience and I wouldn’t want to go through it again. Making the police report was a hassle which I spent half a day at the station, not forgetting having to go back there to collect the report. Fortunately, getting the car fixed was easy. All I needed to do was to drop the car off and pick it up a week later. The workshop and MSIG did everything for me. I am glad that everything was settled promptly
